A case in point

Nathan remembers well  how Intel IT started giving people modems to take home in the 90's... because they could. Nobody bothered to ask what will this do to work practices or family life.

Since he seemed to be the only one who cared about this, he led a team comprising reps from IT, HR, Legal, Engineering and academia to study how Telecommuting can be done safely in an enterprise environment. It took over a year, but the policies and practices this team built are used to this day at Intel worldwide with great success.
